Product Introduction
1. Core Positioning The Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Temperature Sensor (EGR TS) is a key sensing component of the automotive EGR system. It is mainly installed at the inlet/outlet of the EGR valve and the pipelines before/after the EGR cooler. By real-time monitoring the temperature change of recirculated exhaust gas, it converts the temperature signal into an electrical signal and transmits it to the Engine Control Unit (ECU). The ECU precisely adjusts the EGR valve opening and controls the cooler operation based on this data, achieving the optimal matching of exhaust gas recirculation volume and temperature. This not only reduces the generation of nitrogen oxides (NOx) during engine combustion to meet strict emission regulations such as China National Emission Standard VI (GB 18352.6-2016) and Euro 6d, but also prevents EGR valve damage caused by excessive temperature and carbon deposition blockage due to low temperature. It is applicable to EGR systems of diesel vehicles, gasoline vehicles, and hybrid vehicles. 2. Core Functions High-Temperature Resistant & Accurate Monitoring: Temperature measurement range covers -40℃ to 850℃ (up to 1000℃ for high-temperature custom models). Optimized for the high-temperature characteristics of EGR exhaust gas, the measurement accuracy is ±3℃ in the core range of 200℃-600℃. It adopts Type K thermocouple or high-temperature NTC thermistor as the sensing element to stably capture exhaust gas temperature fluctuations; Rapid Signal Response: Signal response time is <500ms (when temperature changes by 50℃ in a stepwise manner). It supports analog (0-5V/4-20mA) or digital (CAN bus) output, with low communication delay with the ECU, ensuring real-time dynamic adjustment of the EGR system; Over-Temperature Protection & Fault Diagnosis: When the monitored exhaust gas temperature exceeds the safety threshold (e.g., >850℃), it automatically sends an early warning signal to the ECU to trigger EGR valve closure for protection. When the sensor has open circuit, short circuit, or accuracy deviation exceeding the limit, it generates fault codes (e.g., P0403/P0409) to facilitate quick troubleshooting by maintenance personnel; Harsh Environment Resistance: The probe is made of 316L stainless steel, resistant to exhaust gas corrosion (resistant to sulfide and nitrogen oxide erosion). The housing has an IP6K9K protection rating, capable of withstanding engine compartment vibration (10-2000Hz) and electromagnetic interference (EMC Class 4), adapting to the high-temperature and high-pollution working conditions of EGR pipelines. 3. Core Features & Advantages High Temperature Resistance & Reliability: The sensing element is resistant to high-temperature aging, with a service life of ≥3 years or 100,000 kilometers when working in an 800℃ environment, far exceeding the temperature resistance limit of ordinary temperature sensors, meeting the high-frequency high-temperature cycle requirements of the EGR system; Comprehensive Compliance: Obtained IATF16949:2016 automotive quality system certification and ISO 14001:2015 environmental certification, complying with EU RoHS, China National Emission Standard VI, and US EPA emission standards, ensuring compliant vehicle access; Easy Installation & Adaptation: Provides EGR pipeline-specific threaded interfaces such as M18×1.5 and M20×1.5, adapting to the EGR system layout of different automakers. It supports direct replacement of original equipment (OE-compatible, e.g., same specifications as Bosch and Continental) without additional pipeline modification; Wide System Adaptation: Compatible with different types of EGR systems (high-pressure EGR, low-pressure EGR), and supports EGR cooler efficiency monitoring (comparing exhaust gas temperature before and after cooling) to help optimize engine thermal management. 4. Adaptability Vehicle Coverage: Compatible with mainstream diesel passenger vehicles (e.g., Volkswagen Touareg TDI, BMW X5 xDrive30d), commercial vehicles (heavy-duty trucks: Dongfeng Tianlong, Foton Auman; light-duty trucks: Jiangling Shunda, Foton Ollin), and hybrid vehicles (e.g., Toyota Prius Hybrid, BYD Song Pro DM-i), supporting National V, National VI, Euro 5, and Euro 6d emission vehicles; System Adaptation: Adaptable to key monitoring points such as the inlet/outlet of high-pressure EGR valve, low-pressure EGR pipeline, and inlet/outlet of EGR cooler. It can customize sensor insertion depth (e.g., 20mm/30mm) and signal protocol (e.g., SAE J1939) according to customer needs. 5. Service Support For detailed product technical parameters (e.g., temperature-resistance characteristic curve, installation dimension drawing), vehicle adaptation list, or EGR system collaborative testing plan, please contact the customer service team for exclusive support; we provide free sensor installation and calibration guidance as well as after-sales technical support to ensure seamless matching with the EGR system.
